Through long-standing relationships with our developer and investor clients we have a reputation for maximising the development value of land and/or existing buildings. We combine the principles of good design with commercial awareness to secure planning consents and create desirable, often award winning, residential developments which seek to maximise GDV. From project inception, we work closely with our commercial clients to understand the brief, development objectives and the opportunities and constraints of the land or building asset. We are strategic thinkers and, following an appraisal of the development prospects, in order to meet the brief without compromise, we formulate a carefully sequenced planning approach. We work in conjunction with an established network of consultancy partners and typically assume the role of lead consultant, taking responsibility for driving the project forward to a successful planning application. For larger developments, we produce masterplans which seek to identify and distil a complex and sophisticated range of issues resulting in a cultural, social, physical and economic framework for development where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. We prepare masterplans for both urban and rural projects and, irrespective of location, we aim to create environments in which people, nature and buildings are positively integrated and thrive. We often assume a lead role in our master planning work and use our expertise to work in close collaboration with our clients, stakeholders, consultees, fellow designers and other consultants.
