We were commissioned to design a residential development within 1.8 hectares of former farm land. The concept for the proposal was a ‘farmstead’ development.
Upon entering the site, a tightly knit group of ‘Farm Cottages’ line the access. A ‘Farmhouse’ can then be accessed via a private road, and a collection of ‘Farm Barns’ form a courtyard at the south of the site.
The scheme has a total of 15 dwellings, ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms. The singular vehicular access meanders through the centre of the development allowing the gardens of the plots to surround the perimeter of the site and therefore maximise the site’s development potential.
