Ford House

We were appointed to design the comprehensive extension and refurbishment of a substantial 6 bedroom period property located within the local Conservation Area. A new side extension complements the architecture of the original dwelling whilst changes to the internal layout have transformed the previously compartmentalised arrangement into a series of interconnected, light and spacious family living spaces.

In addition, a garden studio and terrace were designed in a contemporary style that is sympathetic to the period property, using natural wooden cladding and glazing. A historic wall set for ruin was incorporated into the design so that the modern studio seems to appear from behind the natural stone wall.
