Our People | Dominic Brooke-Read

November 21

Following on from last week’s case study, we’d like to introduce the Project Lead for Berkshire House, Dominic Brooke-Read. Dom joined Anderson Orr in 2008 for his year out – after completing a degree at the University of Leeds – and after many years of dedication and commitment, was made an Associate in 2020. Dom has worked across a broad range of projects, from high-end and exclusive Developer schemes in Oxford City and the surrounding countryside, to Listed Building refurbishments in Berkshire.

Following his promotion, Dom has taken on a wider role to include the management of our Henley office, meeting prospective clients at the enquiry stage and building new connections within the Henley area to further expand our network. Alongside this role, Dom is a driving force behind in-house initiatives to improve, refine and maintain CAD standards throughout the business.

Dom exemplifies the AO team ethos and is extremely popular amongst his peers. In the past couple of years, he has married his childhood sweetheart and is now embracing fatherhood, following the birth of their daughter Isla. Dom is great company and fully involves himself in any ‘out of office’ social events, often (perhaps more so, pre-baby) being the first to arrive and last to leave…

A valued and supportive member of the team, his passion and aptitude for high quality design and exceptional communication make Dom a real asset to the practice. Having completed Berkshire House, he’s now working on another exciting traditional new-build project currently on site (due to complete mid-2022) and has a fantastic Grade II Listed barn conversion in a picturesque Cotswold village in for Planning (more on this soon). We look forward to seeing how the next chapter in Dom’s architectural journey unfolds at AO.
