18th Century Refurb & Extension

With a public footpath running along the site boundary and the rear of the property identified in the Conservation Area Appraisal as contributing to important views and vistas, this was a delicate and carefully managed development. Sizeable rear and side extensions – designed to enhance the property's existing architectural character – improve its relationship with the surrounding landscape, and through detailed analysis of the existing rear elevation, the new property significantly improves both the building’s appearance and its contribution to the wider village setting.

The careful reconfiguration of internal spaces has created a more cohesive and open layout, better suited to modern living, while maintaining the historic character of the dwelling. Large, glazed screens introduced to the rear maximise natural light and create a direct connection between the house and its gardens, offering expansive views across the surrounding valley.
