Our practice designed a contemporary 5-bedroomed family home on the site of a former hotel. Foxcombe Lodge combines beautiful linear brickwork with large glazed openings and soft grey infill panels to create a striking, carefully articulated composition. The architectural language of Foxcombe Lodge is designed to complement its neighbour, Foxgloves, whilst maintaining a distinct appearance and identity.
Compositionally, the building comprises a 2-storey rectangular form which is orientated north-east to south-west with principal aspects overlooking the rear garden. A single storey wing spans perpendicular to the principal form and creates a private entrance courtyard.
